Some foods may be affecting your thyroid gland – the wrong way. Your thyroid gland needs iodine, and some foods are known to possibly “suppress” iodine levels.

The following vegetables should always be cooked before eating  if your thyroid gland is not producing enough hormones :

  • Brussel sprouts
  • Broccoli
  • Cauliflower
  • Cabbage
