The best active thyroid foods are those who contain natural sources of iodine.  We need  iodine to regulate thyroid metabolism. Without iodine the thyroid gland is not able to make thyroid hormones.

Top of the list : feed your thyroid with seafood – fish, fresh and canned; crayfish, prawns, shrimps,  mussels,oysters and seaweed.


One of the ways of making  sure that you are getting enough iodine, is eating fish three times a week. For example : one portion of haddock can contain up to 600 micrograms of iodine.
