Hypothyroidism Condition

It is estimated that next to 60 million Americans have a thyroid condition. Out of these people, most of them have a hypothyroidism condition, and most of them are not aware of their condition.

Hypothyroidism is a condition where the thyroid gland produces less hormones then it should. This leads to symptoms like unexplainable weight gain, general fatigue, dry skin, symptoms that are sometimes associated with other conditions and the hypothyroidism diagnose is easily  missed.

The treatments that are recommended depend of  the severity of the condition and the causes of your hypothyroidism. You might need  hormone replacement drugs like a synthetic thyroid hormone  (Synthroid, Levoxyl) or animal-derived desiccated thyroid (Armour Thyroid)

You will also need to adjust your diet. A hypothyroidism condition usually makes it very difficult to lose extra weight, even if you are “counting calories”  and exercising.
